TakeAction is our corporate employee volunteering programme that gives employees an opportunity to spend working hours supporting social, environmental or health needs. We do this by volunteering as an individual or part of a team, during working hours or after, or focus in a diabetes related cause or a cause in our local communities. Our TakeAction activities are a proof of our commitment to the society and beyond.

Over last seven years, Novo Nordisk Pakistan has been actively supporting the community with different activities focusing mainly on the social aspect of our Triple Bottom Line. We have won the TakeAction Award twice, which is the one of most prestigious award within global Novo Nordisk for the following initiatives: 

  1. In 2010, the employees of Novo Nordisk Pakistan volunteered to help our fellow human beings who lost their properties and family members during one of the worst floods in history. Novo Nordisk Pakistan not only helped communities to established themselves but also supported rehabilitating the schools in the area.
  2. In 2015, the employees of Novo Nordisk Pakistan volunteered to run a large-scale education campaign, helping the youth to understand the importance of health lifestyle. Through partnership with a leading NGO, more than 5000 children of secondary classes were educated on the subject.

 

Take Action is a Novo Nordisk global employee volunteer program and it gives us flexible ways to make a difference. We do this by volunteering as an individual or part of a team, during working hours or after, or focus in a diabetes related cause or a cause in our local communities.
